This novel is an exploration of the interaction between fan and author, between the modern and the historical and between homage and revisionism. The novel explores notion of a revised history where the reader engages with the author, where the reader becomes the teller of the storied history and where a distance style – in this case the beatnik literary genre – is reworked and modernised to celebrate both the real past and a fictional present.
