Christian Spirituality and Science is published in conjunction with the Avondale Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Science (ACISS) at Avondale College. ACISS was formally established in 1998 and deals with issues that require input from a number of disciplines, including science, for their clarification or resolution. Current projects relate to science and education, science and the nursing profession, and issues related to science and religion. It is this latter area to which the journal is dedicated.
