Abstract

Many people mistakenly think the quality of our life is determined by things such as wealth, status or career, but these things are merely vehicles to emotions-sometimes good, sometimes bad. Those things that fill us with positive emotions add to our quality of life, whereas those evoking negative emotions
detract from our quality of life. It is a worthwhile exercise identifying the things in our life that act as wings and those that are weights.
While the quality of our life is powerfully influenced by our emotional state, so too is the quality of our health.
