Abstract

This chapter explores the ways in which the Great War has been represented in modern Australian cinema as part of the greater national dialogue with the Anzac myth. It notes how more nuanced versions of the myth have been swamped by the power of the imagery of stereotyped representations of Anzac in Australian film and television productions.
