| dc.description.abstract | Changes in smoking, vaping or nicotine use should trigger a medication review, with particular attention to CYP1A2-affected medicines such as clozapine, olanzapine and theophylline, as well as medicines with a narrow therapeutic index. This underscores the importance of taking a comprehensive nicotine use history, in terms of amount, type and duration of use. Any changes in the pattern of use should prompt a careful review of medications where an interaction is likely. | |
