Abstract

For some time now, there has been a need in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for a simply prepared manual for local church leaders, especially those living in the developing countries of the world. The Church Leader's Manual has been prepared to meet this need. This book provides resource material and information that will help our pastors and local church leaders increase their level of efficiency as they lead out in our churches. It will assist in the development of their own personal leadership skills and give them a working knowledge of the programs and organization of the church. It is the aim of this book to provide our local leaders with the type of skills and information that will direct our churches into becoming real caring, nurturing Christian communities. It is our hope that we may be able to help each local leader to develop a ministry that will meet the need in our churches for spiritual and social nurture and to direct and equip our members for outreach into the community.[from preface].
