This paper sets out to examine the values which nursing has identified as being fundamental to the profession in the 1990s. Two major areas of interest to Seventh-day Adventist nursing educators are explored: 1. What influence do Christian values have on nursing as we approach the year 2000? 2. Does the Seventh-day Adventist Church have anything unique it can contribute to the nursing profession if the values which are basic to Christianity and nursing coincide"
