Abstract

The Art of Solitude is a series of creative responses to the COVID 19 Isolation that allows writers to explore what it means to be a creator alone and in a dangerous and unusual time. The brief was open and creators were asked to play to their strengths. As a lecturer in poetry and creative writing, I created a hybrid piece that was at once creative editorial and yet framework for a poem. This was commissioned by editor Naresh Fernandes as a creative piece - editorial and poem - for a series by artists and creators in isolation.
