The images examined the effects of coal mining on the local area. This image is from a medium format film and it is a record visual experiences.<strong></strong></p> <p><strong></strong><strong>Research Contribution</strong></p> <p>The image is distorted and layered on to photographic film plane to present different interpretation of time and space. Spatial and temporal planes are rendered onto the film planes in order to physically construct of the photographers world envisaged world. The photographic is distinguished by an abstract minimalism created in camera, predominantly utilizing techniques such as double exposure, neutral density filters, long exposure, and intentional camera movement.<strong></strong><strong></strong></p> <p><strong></strong><strong>Research Significance</strong></p> <p>Cliff Ghosts renders moving and still into the one image frame. It is based around the abstraction and distortion of the image. The photographic image is often seen a truth and a credible eyewitness account this is works exploring a period not fixed in time or reality. The other major significance of this research is that the photographer was invited to complete an emerging artist in residence at Lake Macquarie City Gallery. This work was exhibit as part of a survey of past artistic practice.</p>
