Item Afterworld(Allen & Unwin, 2014-01-01) Lounsbury, LynnetteDom is the youngest person ever to arrive in the Necropolis, the 'waiting place' between death and what comes after. And it isn't long before he catches the attention of Satarial, a cruel Nephilim from the beginning of time, who has grim plans to use Dom as entertainment in his vicious gladiatorial games. When Dom's still-living sister, Kaide, appears in the Necropolis too, Satarial has the leverage he needs, and the stage is set for the biggest shake-up the afterlife has seen in centuries. Dom's only option is to compete in the Trials and attempt to win the chance to enter the Maze. In his favour he has an enigmatic young Guide, Eva, and a Guardian, Eduardo, who may not be what he seems. But will they be enough?
Item All These Presences(2016-10-01) Rickett, Carolyn; Musgrave, David; Kent, JeanAll These Presences publishes poems by creative writing students at Avondale College alongside work by a selection of established Australian poets. Like the three earlier volumes it follows, Wording the World (2010), Here Not There (2012) and A Way of Happening (2014), it is a unique collaboration between writers at very different stages of learning and practising their craft.
Poetry writing is an intensely personal expression of experience. The poems themselves, however, have a magical ability to move from silence into a world of unexpected conversations and deep connections, not only with readers, but also with other poets. All These Presences is an exciting illustration of that connectedness. It is a vibrant gathering of presences: a fresh and wide-ranging collection of new and mature voices from Australia’s contemporary poetic community.
Item Anzac Spirituality: The First AIF Soldiers Speak(2018-01-01) Reynaud, DanielWe have made Anzac into the spiritual core of what it means to be Australian without ever examining the spiritual core of the Anzacs themselves. This study explores the Anzacs’ spiritual beliefs and experiences largely through their own words, taken from the diaries and letters of over 1,000 soldiers of the First AIF. Far from being indifferent to spiritual matters, their writings reveal an interest in matters of the soul more widespread than previously imagined, with significant numbers demonstrating a deep engagement with God, religion and the human spirit. In the pages of this book, we can hear the voices of the original Anzacs speaking directly to us on institutional religion, personal beliefs and spiritual practices, and morality and ethics that go to the core of our humanity as spiritual beings.

About 1,600 animal species have been reported from this small area (230 sq. km). This book documents the present composition of the fauna of the catchment and serves as a reference point for assessment of future changes that may come as a result of climate change and the intensification of human activities and impacts. The inventory also highlights the shortfall in knowledge of the invertebrate fauna, both locally and nationally. The inventory will be of use to members of the public interested in knowing what lives in their environment and can be used to narrow the range of possibilities when attempting to identify some bug, bird or beast. The colour photographs illustrate 56 vertebrate and 131 invertebrate species.

Item Faith of the Anzacs(2010-01-01) Reynaud, DanielThe Anzac legend is ruthlessly secular. These Anzac heroes were legends and not just for their courage and endurance at Gallipoli. These men were also respected, and even loved, for their sturdy faith in God. [from back cover].
